Well! it was an ok movie.. The direction lacked in some parts. Akshay was good.. Deepika didn't get a chance to prove her self. Her action scenes were good. But overall the movie ok! u can watch it once.. Its not a bore!!

A masala flick it is, and a pretty good one at that. Unlike remakes released in the recent past (heck, subtlety be damned, I mean Ghajini, of course), CC2C doesn't try to be too serious: instead, it offers comedy, drama and some brilliant stunts that Akshay Kumar not only fits into very easily, but also very clearly enjoys.
It begins with Sidhu (Akshay Kumar), a poor simpleton who chops vegetables at a roadside restaurant in Chandni Chowk owned by guardian-father Dada (Mithun Chakraborthy) Sidhu regularly seeks astrologers, including Chopstick (Ranvir Sheorey) who claims to practise Fend-Shastra, a marriage of Feng-Shui and Vaastu-Shaastra. Meanwhile, two men from China claim that Sidhu is actually an old warrior, reborn to take revenge on the evil Hojo (Gordon Liu). Chopstick tricks Sidhu and they both embark on a mission to the Great Wall.
On the way, they bump into Sakhi (Deepika Padukone) who is also travelling to China to pay homage to her parents and a twin sister that were killed by Hojo. Turns out that Sakhi's father, Inspector Chiang Kohung (Roger Yuan) is alive, a madman living amongst the Great Wall, and her twin sister Suzy is a thief who works for Hojo, not knowing that it was he who 'killed' her father. Meanwhile, Hojo confronts Sidhu and decapitates Dada, leaving our protagonist blood-thirsty, seeking revenge.
Sure, the movie is predictable, cheesy as a World's Best Nachos with Cheese and filled with cliches: yet it's entertaining and more than tickles the funny-bone, except when Akshay Kumar does his bits, which of course ruptures it entirely. He's gotten into a zone where anything he does is entertaining and believable, and the movie clearly rides on the his eager enthusiasm whether its stunts or the pity and laughter-evoking lines that he cracks. The guy is hilarious!
The support cast do well, Deepika especially in her twin-role. Roger Yuan's Hindi might be questionable but the stunts aren't, and while Sidhu's cosmic kick, almost a present-day reconstruction of Moses parting the Red Sea is a treat to the eyes, Yuan's the clear show-stealer when it comes to Kung Fu.
The only flaw in the movie is the length, made to seem even longer when Dada gets preachy. Everything else about CC2C is entertaining: be it Kailash Kher's rendition of Chak Lein De, the Chinese stunt pros and even Deepika's double-act.
Oh, and just in case we forgot the all obvious point: here's an actor who can both make the villians fall and the audience laugh. Absolutely. India's Jackie Chan has finally arrived. Take a bow, Akshay.

saw it...it was pretty ok...
da stunts were gud, akshay was amazing, songs were in pace wid da muvi, da movie retained its humour till da last scene, lolz i liked da whole tsm advertisement thing lol
but den agn first half was very loud n comedy was cheap at places, story was predictable...
so overall i wud say its a tympass muvi....but onli a one tym watch for sure..
I think the hype that was created around it with so many premieres and the lead pair zooming around in a private plane etc was the basic undoing of the film…secondly the promos showed the audiences the best of the movie so if you were impressed with Deepika's stunts in the promos they are the ONLY ones in the movie….
The movie is more of a failure in terms of story, screenplay and direction than the acting…e.g like Anupama Chopra mentioned in her review that Nikhil Advani failed to make use of the picturesque locales of China…lots of action seems to be concentrated only a small portion of the Great Wall…the story is a mish mash of Sholay, Kung Fu Panda, and a host of other Kung Fu movies…the concept had a lot of potential but it is like an opportunity lost…Some of the scenes are so very tacky…Meow Meow with her lethal lipstick for example …ugggh or Sakhi at the TSM office haha…
Akshay is a bit OTT, which is his USP but this time he takes it a bit too far…still he remains the strength of the movie …Deepika for the first time gets some substantial screen time…there is marked improvement from BAH…but still some times she looks a bit of an amateur…she looks fabulous in he Meow Meow avtar….I didn't like her as Sakhi too much…She showed a comic streak in her TSM ad scene…something she can use to her advantage in her future roles…She still needs to shed some of her inhibitions…I just wonder if being a model gives you a body language which is not very fluid as is required for a Indian film heroine …
Ranvir is wasted in an ill formed role…Mithun Da is the only actor who really gets under the skin of his character….I actually like the Chinese actors who played the villain and Deepika's dad respectively…the latter reminded me of Danny ( where is he btw)…
In the music department the only song I liked on screen was "Sidhu" by kailasa…. Overall the second half is much better than the first…some of Akshay's Kung Fu moves are a good watch….
My rating – 2/5
