Standing tall: Why SRK looks up to his leading ladies
Mumbai: What's common to Sushmita Sen, Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma? Not just that they have all worked with Shah Rukh Khan, but all three of them are taller than King Khan.
While the former beauty queen stands tall at 5 feet 11 inches as against King Khan at 5 feet 8 inches, the newcomers Deepika and Anushka are literally an inch ahead at 5 feet 9 inches.
So what is it like to look down to Mr Khan? "There is a saying in urdu: tumko jo aankhen jukakar jo mile woh ache hai. So all the girls have to look down at me and I can look up at them and its nice its my fantasy to work with taller women. I like taller women," he says.
Shah Rukh was not at all shy to share with us his fantasies about taller women. "It's nice to work with taller girls, you know. They can rest on my head, they can feel your face a little more. I would tell you some vulgar things but this is a family news channel so," he says.
While the superstar is quite okay accepting that he is shorter than his recent heroines, his debutant costar seems to be in full mood to prove the apparent as untrue.
"Shah Rukh is not shorter than me if I stand without heels we are the same height. It's that some people think like that. It's not true," says Anushka Sharma.
Recently acknowledged as one of the most powerful people in the world, Shah Rukh indeed stands tall in stature if not in height.
