Amitabh Bachchan might soon host a television show again.
The show is the Indian version of 1 vs 100, and Endemol, which carries the rights for the show says it is waiting for his approval.
"We wanted to have Mr Bachchan from day one but since he was busy and then due to his illness, we spoke to others," a source at Endemol said, "but we have always been waiting for him."
The show was pitched, among other channels, to Star Plus which gave the Big B his very successful debut on Indian TV.
"We're still in the planning stages and creative meetings are on," the source said, acknowledging that both Aamir and Hrithik had declined to host the show.
Big B hosted the mega hit Kaun Banega Crorepati for its first two seasons, before he was hospitalised. The show's third season was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.
In 1 vs 100, a player competes in a quiz against 100 people, called a Mob in the US.
The player needs to defeat them one by by through answering a series of questions which determine how much money is won.
The show is currently airing in over a dozen countries.
