Deepika Still gets Sonam's Goat
It seems that Sonam has not forgiven Ranbir Kapoor for choosing Deepika Padukone. She is believed to have recently turned down a film, where debutant director Vicky Singh was hoping to cast her opposite Ranbir in a film called Mera Jahaan, citing professional reasons for doing so.
But the real reason it turns out is the presence of one Deepika Padukone. It is believed that the director was ambitious one to want to cast all three together in his movie. But Sonam is in no mood to share the screen with Ranbir and his ladylove. When the director told her that Deepika was also being considered for the film, she is believed to have refused saying that she did not want to work in a two heroine film. The so called professional reasons cited by her, however, do not hold much water. According to sources, the moment she heard that Deepika was probably going to be the second heroine in the film, she even refused to hear the script. That's hardly professional. Sounds more like a personal grudge to us. Mera Jahaan is supposed to be a romantic comedy film. Vicky's earlier debut film, called Rasste, which was to be produced by Suniel Shetty's production company and Balaji Films, was shelved making Mera Jahaan his debut venture.
