"It wasn't as huge a fight as you are making it all sound", laughs Ashley, "Just like any other conversation centered on creative decisions, me and Abbas too got into this entire debate around the color of clothing. For some strange reasons, he wasn't really enthused about using blue color in the clothes worn by Imraan and others. Perhaps he felt that it was too unconventional."
So what was his response to this?
"Well, I was like 'Hello, how is that possible? You have these college going kids in the film and what else would they wear other than blue jeans and the works'", recollects Ashley, "We both stuck to our ground and it seemed like we had come across a deadlock."
How did it all sort out then?
"Well, we kept on chatting around this and none of us were willing to buzz. He was stuck and so was I. Guess, ultimately I was more stuck than him and Abbas finally relented", smiles Ashley who is currently in news for the look he has designed for Salman Khan and Rakhi Sawant in their respective TV shows.
"This is why you see a lot of blue in especially the costumes worn by Imraan. Now that his boy next door look has been appreciated, I am glad that I went by my instincts. I am sure that Abbas is happy as well", signs off Ashley.
