Bobby Darling and Riya Sen end their five-year-old friendship. Koena Mitra is Bobby's newest friend these days

The five-year-old friendship between Riya Sen and Bobby Darling has come to an end. Until some time back both were inseparable and were spotted at all public functions together.

But recently at Subhash Ghai's party for Apna Sapna Money Money, it was evident that their friendship had soured. While Bobby continued to mingle with Koena Mitra, she didn't exchange pleasantries with either of the Sen sisters.

When contacted Bobby Darling sounded upset. "We are not on talking terms," she admitted. Incidentally, the friendship came to an end when there were recent reports stating that Riya had given sleeping pills to Bobby at an outdoor event. "I think that story was blown out of proportion. It was a five-year-old story which they sensationalised. I was extremely shocked and didn't know what to do," says Bobby.

Apparently, soon after this news made waves Riya called up Bobby to clear the air. But Bobby didn't take her call. "It's true that Riya called me, but I was very nervous and didn't know what to say. On the same day I got a message from her which read -- 'Now I know who my true friends are. Please don't try to call me or my sister ever.' That SMS came as a shock and I didn't know what to do. I lost a very dear friend," she says. When Raima discovered the truth she assured Bobby that it wasn't his fault. "But Riya refused to make contact with me. She would ignore me, and I too started avoiding her," she says.

It was around this time that Bobby bonded with Koena. "I want to keep Koena out of this story. It was Koena who stood beside me like a true friend when I was going through my personal problems with Riya," she says.

Incidentally, five years ago when Bobby Darling was a non-entity, it was Moon Moon Sen and her daughters who gave Bobby a roof over her head. "I used to call Moon Moon 'Mummy' and she loved me like her elder daughter.

Riya introduced me to a lot of people in the industry. She taught me how to pose in front of the camera. I have been to their house in Kolkata and Riya-Raima came to my house in Delhi and met my father. I think it's a personal loss for me that our friendship has come to an end," she rues.

But Bobby is sure that he will not switch loyalty from Koena to Riya considering the fallout between the actresses reached a head during the making of Apna Sapna Money Money. "I know that they are not talking to each other. Riya would want me to leave Koena. I will never do that. Koena taught me how to be presentable; she helped me lose weight and also groomed me. It's not necessary to leave one friend for another," she says.

When we tried to make contact with Riya for her version, she said, "I have better things to do in life and please keep me out of all these non-issues."
