Manoj's over confidence let him down...had not been the Bollywood people plunged in and campaigned for Ashmit, Ashmit also knew that he wont survive ....remember, on the nomination, everyone was sort of convinced that Ashmit would go....including Ashmit and Veena....

Finally he understood that Bigg boss 4 is a national tv show not a regional show telecasted in bihar-up.Although I really liked ravi kishen in bigg boss 1.and even shambhavna was ok.But manoj was so annoying.yuck.

I understand that manoj has a huge fan following in U.P. and Bihar😲.That's great. But one can't deny the fact that Manoj Tiwari is just a regional superstar and hardly anyone outside UP and bihar know about him.So the only reason he would have got votes from the rest of the 26 states,is only n only if he would have shown some goodness in him like sammy dear or if he would have created controversies like dolly or if he would have atleast managed to look good[potbelly's not helping😆]..But unfortunately he was living in his own illusion of stardom.Manoj dear other than UP and Bihar, people dont even know u,then how do u expect to get votes.he showed terrible behaviour in bigg boss 4.He was aanoying, boooooorrrrrring, provided no entertainment, was a backstabber and a backbiter. He was so fake. Hmmmm in my opinion he was no good in the house.
He should really get this into his chhota head that Ravi Kishen was also there in Bigg boss earlier although he too was bit snobbish, but atleast he was entertaining.Manoj should have taken lessons from him on how to entertain janta. Now that he is out,he should understand that India is a big country and u have to please all of its junta to save urself.or at the very least get urself a good PR manager like ashmit has.

i so agree with you! people are forgetting that he's only a big star in UP and Bihar or if dats they same thing! no one outside knows him! while ashmit is a bollywood star he was surely seen by alot of people than Manoj

Big Boss 4 : EXPOSED !How Ashmit Patel was 'saved'

By Frontier India | December 5th, 2010 | Category: Television | No Comments

While everyone is wondering how Ashmit Patel could upstage Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari in Bigg Boss, here's how he won the round. Not many are aware that the Bollywood actor has a huge friend-circle lobbying for him outside the House every time he is nominated.

Tapping all channels of communication including SMS, emails, BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, word-of-mouth along with personal requests; most of his close friends doubled up as lobbyists to make sure Ashmit had a stronger vote bank than Manoj Tiwari.

Karan Johar tweeted and requested everyone he met to vote for Ashmit. Sister Amisha Patel sent out several messages requesting all Bollywood folks and her fans to vote for her brother. Sara Khan's husband Ali Merchant and evicted Bigg Boss participant Hrishant Goswami were among the strongest lobbyists for Ashmit.

Manyata and Sanjay Dutt fiercely supported him and asked their entire friend-circle to vote for Ashmit. All of his family as well as friends like Ishq Bector exhausted their 99 SMS's per week limit to save him.

Plus, the actors managing team swung into action and sent out mass messages requesting fans and friends for support with the SMS-votes. Even Veena Malik's fans were largely tapped.

But the biggest chunk of votes must have come from Gujarat. A mass SMS campaign called 'Save Aapno Gujjubhai' (Save Our Gujjubhai) was conducted in the state by Ashmit's managing team.

All this, while everyone thought Ashmit would lose out to Manoj Tiwari.

  1. In all probability, the article was planted very selectively by Ashmit's PR team and/or the channel.
  2. As a deft PR excercise, it tries unabashedly to provide credible answer to an incredible question as to "how on earth can Ashmit garner more votes" But to a discerning, it looks like a feeble, juvenile attempt.
  3. The two groups, viz.; the Gujaratis (the Gujjus) and the Bollywood fraternity are known to be totally business-like. There is no "apna Gujju bhai" or "Apna Bollywood Bhai" kind of sentiments for these business groups, by and large, to account for the votes "generated" for "Popular" Gujju Bollywood star Ashmit Patel.
  4. Not more than 20 to 30 per cent votes Ashmit garnered can be attributed to "Save Gujjubhai" sentiments and the notoriously treacherous bollywood bonhomie for a virtual non-entity like Ashmit. The very people who would not give work to Ashmit and Amisha would actually campaign for Ashmit!! And here we are not talking about the Punjabis or Bhojpuris, who would vote or support a fellow Punjabi (e. g. Vindoo) or a Bhojpuri (Ravi Kishen, Manoj, etc.) without asking "what do I get in return?" For business community like Gujjus, ROI (Return On Investments) comes first and they do not invest without returns. There are no free lunches. It is all about takkas. And, I guess that is the way it should be. A true blue Gujju would support another Gujju to set him up in his business if he has potential. It is all about merits for them.
  5. So where did the votes come from, if at all they really came? Definitely not from the Gujju or Bollywood vote bank as the article tries to explain away conveniently on the PR/Channel's behalf. We may deride Manoj for being an egoistic oaf or whatever. But he is right when he asks how on earth a nobody like Ashmit can get votes more than at least a Bhojpuri somebody like him??Were the "bought"? Were they "produced" mass-scale by some software? Your guess is as good as mine. The only clue is the PR work and the Channel's craving for TRP. In between these two lies the vast, unfathomable expanse of dark, murky waters.
