Why are there no clocks in BB house? I can understand about other things but what is the logic behind not having any clocks or watches in the house?

The initial experiment theory was based on to loose their sense of time as they were supposed to be kept in dungeon. I am talking about the initial psychological experiment from which this game is derived.
