The whole HM has let that word go but Shilpa.
First She allowed adults who has come to the show to play the game of BB to call her that. It was clear in the very start when they used , it was not for respect but for fun and to show her age, but still she allowed it.
I am sorry but am getting personal here. Is it because she is yearning to become mother and so was happy when they addressed her that coz even now when the 2 people who called her "Maa" has clearly shunned her, she keeps repeating those words. Now it sounds like a rant rather than feel sympathetic over it. But looks like she is way too hurt.
