Whenever old classics like Mother India' for instance, are on TV, whenever possible, I do watch them.
Love old movies for the sincerity they convey when it comes to craft of movie making. If you want to appreciate passion of a movie maker, pay attention to expressions of small, side actors.
If it's a village gathering scene, you could watch the expressions of a guy on sidelines, who will get no dialogue to speak and yet, you can see the sincerity, expressions and genuineness on his face.😲 That was the level of commitment of Movie Directors in old times!
Masters like K. Asif, Bimal Roy, Raj Kapoor etc. would see to it that every thing was in place and all behaved exactly as they wanted them to, when the shot was taken! 👏
Anyway, that was not the point I wanted to make!☺️
