Bigg Boss 7 has a bunch of losers: Imam

Imam Siddique wears many hats. The former 'Bigg Boss' contestant and television personality is mostly remembered for throwing tantrums and the tough times that he gave to house inmates on the show last year. In Jaipur for a private visit recently, Imam shared his plans of filmmaking and things he wants to do in his home state, Rajasthan.
Small town Rajasthan boy
Imam, who was born in Banswara, a small district of Rajasthan known for its tribal life, has some fond memories of his early life spent in the city. Since his father was an international hockey player, the family moved to Mumbai. Imam tried his hands at anchoring, modelling, acting, styling, choreographing and many more, but never thought of taking up sports as a career.
"I was very athletic but was more interested in creative arts, specifically dance, which is also a non-violent form of sports. I say non-violent because you don't need a hockey stick or a cricket bat to dance. Dance has its own vocabulary. It's a non-verbal communication but still full of emotions and feelings," says Imam. After trying his luck in various creative fields, he is now looking forward to venture into filmmaking. "I am working on a Bollywood project titled 'Bhagwan of Bollywood'. I would like to do everything, but naturally it's not possible. So at the moment I am restricting my role to that of a scriptwriter. The film, in a sense, has got an autobiographical element in it. As I have been in the industry for such a long time, this film would be my tribute to 100 years of cinema," he tells us.
Cinema museum in Rajasthan
Since he hails from Rajasthan, he also wants to do something for his home state. "Our Indian cinema is famous the world over and so is Rajasthan. So I am planning to bring both of them together. I want to adopt a village, somewhere close to Udaipur, which I find the most romantic city in the world. This being the most beautiful place on earth makes the best choice for my project. I would like to shoot my first film and then turn the set into a museum. I will use it as a backdrop of my film and later transform it into a museum where people can see how films are being made in India. This would be a place to see the beautiful journey of Bollywood, which will also witness the glory of Indian cinema. As it needs a hefty amount of money and resources, I am still working on this."
Bigg bunch of losers
Though Imam rose to fame with Bigg Boss, he hardly likes to watch the ongoing season. "I do not watch the show regularly, but whatever I got to see, I found it completely boring. I seriously cannot bear a bunch of losers on the show. The show is supposed to have the social responsibility to resource quality talent from diverse backgrounds. But it is not doing so, I mean I don't understand on what basis these people have been chosen. The show has become a sycophant's paradise,".
Also, what bothers him about the show, is ignoring the basic needs of a human being. He reacts, "How can you put restrictions on someone's basic needs? You can not tell me how many chapatis to eat and how many hours to sleep. That's utterly ridiculous!"
