Swedish national Elli Avram, one of the most popular contestants on Bigg Boss recently made her Bollywood debut with Mickey Virus. The actress who got evicted from the show, is unwell, with a bout of food poisoning as we settle down for a chat.
She says, "Right now I'm a little upset, I'm missing Sangram Singh and Andy. I miss waking up to the morning song, dancing, chilling and having fun. I miss listening to Sangram's philosophy."
The actress is happy that the experience has helped her improve her Hindi, considering that she intends to pursue a career in Bollywood. Elli says, "This experience has really helped. I used to feel shy to speak Hindi before; the show has really increased my confidence level. I have learnt so much and speak the language quite well now."
The actress is also ecstatic that she has been getting good responses from her debut film. She says, "I have been hearing good reviews but I haven't watched the film myself. I'm curious to see myself on the big screen but I'm a big critic of my own work. I always think about how I could have bettered my work."
While Salman Khan has often said Elli can be the next Katrina Kaif, Elli admits that she is very ambitious and aims to be the next big thing in Bollywood. "I am going through scripts and want to pick only the best ones. My ultimate aim is to make it big in Bollywood and so I'm making decisions accordingly. I want to do a love story next but I am open to all kinds of roles."
Elli reveals that while she would love to work with Salman Khan, she also has other Khans on her mind. "I feel that only after you meet an actor can you judge how good your chemistry would be onscreen but I would love to work with Salman Khan. Aamir Khan is another actor I would love to share screen space with. From what I have heard, he is very dedicated to his work, which is very inspiring. I like such people. A romantic film with Shah Rukh Khan would also be great."
Talking about life off-screen, Elli, who lives alone in Mumbai, admits missing her family back home in Sweden. Busy with work commitments, she hasn't been able to take any time off to visit family after Bigg Boss. "I haven't got a chance to visit Sweden, since I'm caught up here. . As of now, I've been keeping in touch with them through Skype but I do hope they come down for Christmas," says Elli with a smile.
