The episode began with Bigg Boss playing the philosophical' tapori song "Phatela Jeb Sil Jaayega, Jo chahega mil jaayega" perhaps because today was going to be the pay-day for the luxury budget task. Every housemate was grooving to the song.

Next up since the captain was going to be elected, we saw Andy reminding Gauhar to

Bigg Boss told all the housemates to pick the two most hardworking housemates in the house. Sofia was seen telling Kamya she would be voting for herself. LOL..

Armaan seems to have mellowed down courtesy the feedback from the visitors from outside.

He was seen light-heartedly asking Tanisha and Andy what he would get in return if he voted for them

Gauhar wanted Kushal to vote for himself because he had helped his team win three of the total four points they won.

To accomplish the same, he had done tasks like drinking Heaven's water

The advice must have struck a chord somewhere because not only did he vote for himself, he asked for something much more significant during the course of the episode.

Kamya was still upset over Andy saying he'd cut up her daughter's photo so she announced that she won't vote him as captain.

Sofia chimed in with Kamya by adding that Andy says different things to different people at different times

Ajaz was seen voting for Andy while saying-

Finally Andy and Gauhar got the most votes and became contenders for captaincy. Bigg Boss announced they would have compete in a task that would involve taking out Chyawanprash containers from the bottom of a pool. Gauhar can't swim and is a tad hydro-phobic(she fears water because she had a bad childhood experience where she almost drowned) so her reaction was:

Even Armaan knew the task would favour Andy. His reaction:

Andy was also grinning

Kushal would assist Gauhar while Sangram would be assisting Andy during the task.

Sangram was all pumped up and he was seen pushing Andy to do better

Gauhar managed to win by hold-your-breaths one chyawanprash container in the end.

Sangram was seen commenting on how Andy was unnecessarily diving into the pool instead of

simply bending down and lifting containers.

Armaan's reaction to Andy's defeat:

Kushal and Sofia went to shop for food items. It's a miracle Kushal avoided screwing up things because clearly Sofia is an Aryabhatta' at maths. (or Professor John Nash if you please).

Next up we saw a task in which Ajaz and Kushal had to vie for Gauhar's affection in four rounds.

Andy would be overlooking the proceedings which reminded me of

Kushal wanted to have a heart to heart with Gauhar

Gauhar's reaction:

After singing a song for her, he confessed his love to her. He proposed to her and added that he wants to grow old with her

Tanisha's reaction was worth watching

Gauhar just wanted to hide herself.

She was blushing all over.

Ajaz also confessed that he feels for her from the heart.

He added that he would be better for her since he's a Khan so fere nahin lene padenge!

When Ajaz was asked what is Gauhar's favourite song, he couldn't recall anything. Armaan shouted that even he remembered that.

Gauhar's reaction :

After Kushal's proposal, Gauhar was allowed to spend some time alone with him as part of the task. Now I have some evidence for those who doubt whether the pair of them are genuinely in love or not. Note Kushal's expression

Anyway, Armaan was seen indulging in more humour as he walked past like this(for privacy's sake)

while Gauhar and Kushal were sitting together:

Kushal was seen telling Gauhar he won't have to say much when he leaves the house now

Gauhar was gushing

Next up Ajaz tried to woo her with a song and a flower.

He told her she's got a beautiful rare heart because she loves her family more than herself.

Gauhar was moved

She praised Ajaz

before sharing how rare it was for two people(Kushal and her) to meet on a reality show and fall in love.

She talked about how because of the industry they come from and the show that they are on:

so she wanted to clear the air once and for all by admitting

As the couple embraced

Kamya said:

While Sangram wiped Ajaz's tears in jest

Funnily Ajaz was still not keen on letting the couple spend time alone with each other. He told them

Gauhar quipped

Ajaz went all filmy (heartbroken lover Shahrukh style)

He felt he had accomplished a big task by being a part of the couple's love story

so he asked Bigg Boss for a prize in return.

Sofia was quick to suggest

Ajaz responded:

Gauhar and Kushal were seen discussing how their families would take it

(religion might also be an issue between the two)

They were once again interrupted by the free and somewhat forced entertainment of the evening

Andy was in deep thought

While Tanisha quipped

Armaan dilly-dallied but finally settled on the boy's side since that meant he wouldn't have to serve anyone

Gauhar was seen telling Kushal how his proposal had taken everyone by surprise.
