During my schooling days, particulary between 1994-1998 specially, I used to play Table Tennis at National Stadium, Delhi. Almost every day 2-3 hours in evening we used to spar and I know almost every Ex player who represented Delhi / India or was a promising player at that point of time and went on to play at serious levels for Delhi-India! I myself was a pretty serious level player and know so many of these champs PERSONALLY...have extensively practised with so many of them!

If I am in BB House any of these chaps can come inside, hug me as a fellow TT player, and wish me well as one coming from Table Tennis fraternity!

All this would have zero relevance if I make a website and put a fake claim there that I am a 2006 Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist in TT!😆

There is no contradiction at all!😊

OMG!!! how hard is it for people to understand that Sangram may be a lot of things but HE IS NOT A COMMONWEALTH CHAMPION or FACE Of any international Tournaments.
Obviously, Cruiser has hard proofs to back up his claim!
I am keen Commonwealth and Olympic fan. I make a point of watching any games that involves Canada, Kenya and India. When Sangram was introduced, I was having a hard time placing him in any of the wrestling matched I watched. Cruiser you cleared out my confusion- thanks!

I don't get it. Why are you guys trying to base your claims on your 'investigations' (read search) about Sangram on internet? This is absurd. Though most of the organizations have been digitized, there are still some which do not put their records online. So, how true are your claims anyways? Sangram might not yield satisfactory searches to please you people, but maybe when he comes out of the house, his certificates might shut your guys' mouths.

It is so stupid and amusing how low people can go to malign someone's image. And, FYI, just getting responses via email does not guarantee any truth. Twitter accounts, email ids might not be verified. Most of the government offices in India are not that tech savy. So, you never know the person who replied to your mails or tweets was even the reliable one or not.

I have also participated in many sports competition on national level, but there are no details regarding it online. So, does that mean I never participate in such event just because some people can not find details regarding that online? I have my certificates to prove that and I am very sure Sangram might also have his.

It is okay to have opinions but do not stoop so low. You do not have to like Sangram but questioning his credentials is absurd. 🤢

You sure you read the opening post and all related material made available so far?😲

Conclusions are not based on NET SEARCHES which you seem to be assuming! 😊

Here is e-mail confirmation from Wrestling Federation of India, confirming he participated for India in one event but his Gold Medal claim is FAKE!👎🏼

http://postimg.org/image/4mgobsoz7/

Here is Tweet exchange confirmation from Sochi Paralympic Association 2014, categorically debunking claim of Sangram Singh as being FACE of 2014 Sochi Paralympic games as FAKE!

We who have put in efforts to dig out the truth, are not concerned about his other Medals. If he won some Ram Lal Medal wrestling in Haryana and some Lalu Yadav Medal winning some medal in Bihar, thats of no concern to us.

Only thing he should not claim is, he won a 2006 Commonwealth Wrestling Games Gold Medal in South Africa and that he is Face of 2014 Sochi Paralympic games. Thats plain absurd and bullshit!

He wins Big Boss, thats great...as Contestant I have NOTHING against him...infact find him a likeable chap...BUT...no Gold Medal in Commonwealth Games please. Thats absurd and too much to digest!!

I agree with that point. My brother was a national level swimmer in India in 1995, but if you google his name nothing shows up and I am sure if I e-mailed and asked maybe the records will be in a register somewhere but not easily available on a computer database (which is easy to search) so harder to look up ... but that does not mean that he did not win the medals. I e-mailed the wrestling organization asking about the 2006 games and got a negative response (see earlier post) so that gives credibility to what cruiser is saying. However, for me it is still very hard to understand how someone can lie on national tv about an international event and get away with it? As well I had earlier e-mailed the organization and gotten a reply right away (within one day), then I e-mailed them back asking if someone name Sanjit Kumar or Sangram singh had a ever won a medal with them and I still have not heard back even though it has been almost a week now, which is frustrating... as I really just want to know for myself what is going on!

Hi Cruiser

If you read my post carefully, I already have addressed that point. A tweet or an email from the supposed email ids of the organization is not trustworthy. First of all, they are not verified. Secondly, the person managing all these accounts of such organization is at the lowest position (at least in government offices). I think, for a better confirmation on Sangram's 'fake' credentials, you should try contacting the top officials directly via mails, because they will not reply to you until and unless they verify everything. This is very much unlike these 'official replies' you have got in which the person who replied to you might not have checked all the official documentation. Coz that process itself is very lengthy. So, before jumping into conclusions unnecessarily, try contacting administration of Wrestling association. Their reply is only what you should trust.

And coming to your 'Ram Lal medals', I believe you should really see that your words are not offending anyone. I myself was very active in swimming during school days. I never pursued it as a profession though. Chose to pursue a degree in English literature. My point here is that though I might not have represented India at the International level, I have participated in many competitions of swimming and won quite of them too. But just because they were not of international repute, it does not makes them a waste. Calling such awards as ''Lalu Yadav medals'' is very derogatory. This is not to defend Sangram, but for any one who won any competition in any field at any level. As one such person, I found your 'reference' quite insulting. I am pretty sure that even you must be proud of any competition you won at any level- be in a class or at a global level.
If you could have instead said that 'you do not think that his state level medals matter at such a platform', that I think would have been a better way to express your point.

Personally, I am not fond of Sangram. I also do not like his habit of not taking a stand. Whether Sangram wins or not, I do not give even two cents to that. But questioning some one's credentials needs more detailed research and proofs. I am bit traditional in that way- I believe in good old paper documents for proofs. 😉

True.

Indian govt offices are not fully digitized. It is impossible for someone to find information about such things in such a short time. Proper verification requires a lot of time. It is a lengthy process. Honestly, except cricket, there is no other sport which is followed extensively in this country. So, having an information about each and every event is quite a strenuous task.

Please go back a page, check your first post and ponder, how you have worded it. A discussion can not take place if some one has already made up mind, full of colorful expressions like 'absurd, stupid... etc.

If you wish to engage in a serious conversation, your first logical step should be to READ the opening post VERY CAREFULLY.

Now go to www.sangramsingh.in

The site boldly declares in AWARD page, 2006 Commonwealth Wrestling Games Gold Medal South Africa.🤢

And as if its not a website mistake, Salman exactly read out 2006 Commonwealth Gold Medal South Africa...and Sangram answered on TV, HAAN JI!

Now I ask you!

Kapil Dev won Cricket World Cup in 1983. If you even shake him up in deep sleep and tell him Kapil Paa Ji congrats for 1984 World Cup win, would he not immediately correct you it was in 1983 that we won the World Cup?

For your info, once again, 2006 Commonwealth Games were held at Australia, not South Africa. SO HOW CAN SANGRAM WEBSITE GOOF UP?

And in 2005 Commonwealth Wrestling, I have made available the Official Results as well as web links as well as Wrestling Federation of India's e-mail response debunking Sangram's Gold Medal claim.

If you want to contest the above you get the correct confirmation from WFI please.

Second bogus claim is of Sangram being official face of Sochi Paralympic games. From Sochi Paralympic VERIFIED TWITTER ACCOUNT, categorical confirmation is there, its bullshit!

I am contesting THESE TWO ABSURD claims.

If he has won something else elsewhere, good for him. He should remove these two outrageous claims from his website, even if its tough to say SORRY on TV.

Yes, every honor and award won is satisfying and gives lot of happiness and pride to winner. Thats why I am saying, let Sangram be happy with whatever his other claims to fame are but stop peddling these two gross lies!

A few posts above I gave my own example. I know so many Table Tennis stars of Delhi and India personally because of having regularly sweated it out with them for a few years. If I am in BB House, they will come, hug me, wish me well as a fellow TT fraternity guy in a way representing them in BB House! Doesn't mean I start making laughable and ridiculous claims that I won Gold Medal in 2002 Busan, South Korea Asian Games for example. Thats exactly what Sangram's PR agent is doing and so far getting away with it!

** Sorry, I do not agree with you on WFI. In this age when everyone is shit scared of sticking his neck out, WFI office would not mail a confirmation just like that. Honestly, I was expecting a NO RESPONSE situation from them. Good that they confirmed and everything corroborates.

All credit to Sangram for representing India once AT HUNGARY...he has never represented India at South Africa or anywhere else, forget about winning a CW Games Gold Medal!
...and he has nothing to do with being FACE of Sochi Olympics. His PR had got this story planted in TOI an Mid-Day, it already has been busted and his Wiki page has corrected the mistake now! ...

I'm sure those who are managing Sangram at Colors/Endemol/PR love people like you. Earlier they were counting on ignorance or apathy of most of viewers, but now they know that there are millions in India who don't care about meticulously collected evidence that nails his lies and will argue against every proof that is presented in front from them. 😆

What kind of evidence will satisfy you? If a video of Sangram admitting he didn't won a commonwealth gold model was unearthed, you would argue that the video is fake. If forensic evidence is presented to you to prove that video is genuine, you will argue that there is a conspiracy against him and the forensic agency has been bribed.

Since you have already made up your mind, no evidence against him will be acceptable to you.

On the other hand, we are willing to change our mind and don't keep arguing against hard evidence. Cruiser readily admitted that Sangram has participated in World Wrestling Championship in Hungary when verifiable evidence was presented, and so did I. Like you, he or I could have kept arguing that there must have been a typographical error on the PDF file or that the website of WFI must be a fake website.😆
