Kushal Tandon and girlfriend Elena Boeva are the latest Jodi to get eliminated from NachBaliye 5.
They were in the danger zone with Karan Mehra and NishaRawal. In their last performance on the NachBaliye stage, they wowed judges Terence Lewis, Sajid Khan and ShilpaShettyKundra with a performance on Humkapeenihai.
"Bojh hat gaya kandhon par se. I feel so light and relieved. I am an actor, a star, and not a dancer. From Day One, I never said I wanted to win. Reality show is not my forte, acting is. Handling shooting and practice at one time was taxing for me. I was not able to give my 100% and my show was also getting hampered. I am a guy who likes to concentrate on one thing at a time. I don't like being judged every week. I did this show for exposure, to break my image of Virat from Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. We were the most good-looking and appreciated jodi," said Kushal.
Kushal, who wants to be a part of Bollywood, got a dream opportunity when Sajid Khan expressed his desire to cast him in the movies after the show got over. In their last performance, Kushal and Elena bagged 29 points off 33. Once, the couple had also got 32 points. So what went wrong?
"I don't know. I am very popular and people like me. Every jodi has an online popularity graph on the basis of tweets they get. And we have got 83% votes there, while the other jodis only got 10-15% votes. I have the highest fan following of 2 million fans on Facebook. I don't think any actor has that. I think if you check voting, we would have got the highest votes. In terms of marks also, we didn't get the lowest."
So does he think the show is rigged? "I wouldn't say that. It was a good journey and I don't have any complaints from anybody," he signed off.
