Bollywood host for Bigg Boss

I think everyone is noticing that there is a problem with having a celebrity host a reality show like Bigg Boss. Bias comes into the picture because Salman might have previous connections with some of the contestants.

I'm not sure why in India everything has to be hosted by a Bollywood celeb, be it awards, game shows, etc.. I've even seen Bwood celebs at book launches that have nothing to do with the film industry!

In the US, Canada and UK versions of the show (Big Brother), the host comes from a journalism background. It helps to eliminate bias from the show and keeps the focus on the contestants instead of them kissing ass to the host. (I hate the Crorepati show because the contestants just sit in awe of Amitabh Bachchan instead of playing the game.)

Perhaps it is time to change the host?
