The task was about their achievements in their own life in their own field. But they considered it for the Glamour and TV industry i guess.
Exactly bringing medal for country , is not small thing in any way!!
I really liked him the day before.

The whole thing about rating contestants was a stupid idea to begin with. How were they rating each other? In terms of achievement or popularity? It seems as though it was based on popularity and the thinking behind it was quite cosmetic. Even though I don't really like Sangram - methinks he deserved to be no.1 because of his achievement. But since he doesn't have a fan following, they didn't acknowledge his gold medal as something worthwhile. Pity for him he wasn't the lead of a Balaji daily soap.

I actually feel bad that sangram has lied abt so many things and he has got away with it!! Vese to media is popular gade murde ukhadne mei and itna jhooth kisi ne notice bhi nhi kiya!!

Actually, I didn't have any knowledge about Sangram. Before BB7, I didn't even know who he was. During the first week of the show, I defended him strongly.😆

I learnt about his fake awards and medals from another thread on this forum.

I still like him. He is funny and entertaining, and from his point of view, he is perhaps right in discarding amateur wrestling where he made little money and had no fame and switching to showbiz due to which he has become a household name and is making crores. The lies were probably invented by his PR agents and he is forced to repeat them.

What about Times of India..

Sangram Singh : World's best professional wrestler

Suruchi Sharma, TNN Apr 13, 2012, 12.00AM IST (Sangram )

Sangram Singh is making news, and this time, it's not about his relationship with actress Payal Rohatgi. The wrestler has bagged the coveted World's Best Professional Wrestler award, conferred by World Wrestling Professionals (WWP), South Africa.

An excited Sangram told us, "This has been in overall recognition of the style of fight, stamina and the nature of wrestling bouts in my professional career, and was evaluated by some of the best wrestling professionals in the world. My background and life history has also been considered as it is unique in the wrestling world, and no other professional or amateur wrestler has been through the type of obstacles I've been through."

From being wheelchair-bound for eight years to becoming a professional wrestler, Sangram says his life has even inspired movie scripts. "I've gone through two movie scripts that have been based on my life's story. We are looking for a filmmaker who can do justice to my story. I'm already in discussions with a few Indian and foreign directors, but nothing has been finalised yet," he said.

Apart from that, Sangram, who recently bought a sea-facing apartment with lady love Payal in Mumbai, is gearing up to launch a new fitness show, which will be replicated online. "The program is called "Fusion Fitness" and has been designed keeping in view today's lifestyle, where people prefer rapid fitness procedures in less time. It will promote age old Indian methods and practices of fitness, but will include modern knowledge as well," Sangram shared.

i have no idea what all the contestants have achieved so i don't know who is the most deserving
but in this task it was subjective
who ever thought they had achieved the most put their name forward for no.1
they have no idea what the others have achieved
its more convincing the others that u have achieved more than them

Absolutely. Sports people are under valued in India especially. TV popularity and achievements is nothing compared to representing your country at the Commonwealth Games and other sporting events. The further these TV stars can reach is the UK or USA to participate in shitty events to 'meet and greet' fans. 😆.

@bold : lol absolutely. If he was in a TV soap people would have been barking about how many years he'd been around in the TV industry, worked so hard to reach to the top and then brag about how many awards he'd won for acting. 😆 in India people only worship cricketers, everyone else doesn't matter because cricket is the religion. 🥱

Yup Sangram was right. SO basically now if someone wins gold for their country it's no use till you have worked in a stupis tv serial. Really???? And yes everyone has gotten different types of achievments and Sangram has just shown good sportsmanship. BTW What was Asif talking about LOL??😆
