Actually what Slam-man did today is what is called "bhigo ke maarna" - in rural areas it is believed that if you soak the lathis with oil then there won't be signs of having been hi and the impact would be greater.

So when Slam-man started scolding these "Laaton Ke Bhoot" they understood everything that "Baaton se samajh nahi aa raha tha"
