Ellie's problem is she's got only two ppl to talk to...Ratan and Sangy. The rest don't care for her much.

If Kamya meant that in a friendly way, then that would have gone over Elli's head. When people don't know a language well, they are busy translating the words in their heads to pay attention to the tone. A reason why a lot of Europeans I know don't get the sarcasm that the English throw at them.

Anyway, I don't know why Kamya had to get irritated at Elli's reply. She started the 'ignore'game and Elli called her out for which Kamya gave her a double dose and her donkey pals supported her behaviour. I don't see Elli as a strong character like Gauhar who would have started a screaming match right then and there. Plus it also depends on the culture and society you have been brought up in.

Ellie is 33? Wow! Doesnt look like that. Quite a late age to begin a career in the film industry.
