Producers of Bigg Boss to be exempted from paying tax for helping unemployed people
Mumbai. IT department has today decided to exempt producers and makers of Bigg Boss from paying any tax on the profits they earn through the show's seventh edition.
"We should have done it much earlier, but its better late than never," a senior official of IT department said.
"Their philanthropic gesture of giving some work to the unemployed people of this country needs to be hailed and rewarded," added the official.
"Not only this, these guys also engage the otherwise jobless viewers who have nothing better to do into watching their show. Its good that their mind is captivated by the show otherwise they would waste utilize that time trolling people, gaping girls and committing other uncivilized acts," further stressed the official.
The Mumbai police have also lavished praises on Bigg Boss for helping curb crime in the country for at least 3 months.
"With more than 70% of the anti-social elements either taking part in the show or hooked on to it on television, our job of managing crime becomes very easy," said DGP Mumbai Police.
Viewers were more than happy to hear this news about their favorite show.
"Ever since Indian Idol ended, I had become idol idle and was struggling hard to waste pass my time. This show has given a fresh lease of life to me," said a professional voyeur.
Even some of the ex-contestants who owe their failure to the show were seen raving about this development and getting nostalgic about their hey-days.
"This show changed my life and gave me lot of fame. Earlier nobody knew me, now nobody wants to know me," said Ashmit Patel who tried hard to make our reporter believe that he has acted' in Hindi films.
While some like Vindoo Dara Singh give credit to whatever little they have achieved in the field of crime to this show which acted as a stepping stone for them.
Makers of the show are happy that their work is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Now their next aim is to get acceptance as the real Supreme Court of India where anyone can come and claim innocence over any criminal act done by him/her in the past.
