The narcissist initiates his own abandonment by demeaning, devaluing and even discarding others because of his fear. He is so afraid of losing his source of narcissistic supply that he would rather "control", "master", or "direct" the inevitable abandonment by others.

In my humble opinion, we saw a narcissitic crisis in Mr. Patel earlier. I'm actually worried about Mr. Gulati now. And I mean it in the sincerest possible manner.
