I think it is planned by Upen and Choksi to make Tanna win.
What's in it for them, u say?
Choksi - he makes his GF win
Upen - He makes Guatam lose
Otherwise how can Tanna get over BF in couple of days.
Upen comes for finale, gives letter to Tanna from Choksi about the plan and therby his approval for fake romance, Tanna starts talking about Upen couple of days before he comes, and falls head over heels for him in couple of days !!
