here is what I think ... embarrassed of saying it but still ...
$ 1000 = A GRAND...
HE IS FROM UK right ? and in british English they drop their R however in US they roll their R (phonetics thing) ... R is dropped
now another thing with British english is the they pronounce A as AA... so he will pronounce it like G word😉😉😉
