You arent compelled to live with anyone if you dont want to. There is divorce for that. Its better to be happy than miserable in life.

But divorce is not so easy. People has to pay alumni and has to go through lots of court cases. And sometimes court also tell them to try more. It's a lengthy process. But it's very easy to leave a gf

Yeah you are right there but divorce is pretty easy in India. I have a feeling you are talking about abroad but in that case even girlfriends are also provided similar common law partner rights if you leave with x number of years in a relationship its just like a marriage.

You guessed right. I'm from usa. But there is nothing called partners right. If one have a baby with partner then the boyfriend is compelled to give child support, but he is not bound to give anything to the ex gf.

Its really very sad to know that divorce is so easy in India. But I think who are celebrities they must have some sort of prenup before the marriage.

There are common law agreements in 7 states in the US. A girlfriend has all the legal rights and benefits and protections just like a wife. I believe those states are District of Columbia, Alabama, Colorado, Kansas, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Iowa, Montana, Utah and Texas.

But yeah I do agree its really shitty how easy it is to divorce somebody and walk away in India. I have been a huge proponent of spousal support system for a long time.
