As you said, you haven't appreciated either his intelligence or knowledge.
Now,how does that make anyone pseudo-intelligent?
If he is knowledgable about mangalyaan, he has that knowledge because of his interest in that field.
One may be very knowledgable about one field, which interests him and may have no knowledge in other.
That doesn't make anyone less intelligent.
His inability to name the capital of a state, may be because he couldn't recall it at that moment.
That happens so many times during the exams. When a person is under pressure , he is bound to have selective amnesia.
Not knowing something which happened years back may also be because it was not of relevance to him.
As mentioned before, there are lot of other things that have been in public eye,
How many on the forum can name the political mentor of India's prime minister ?
What is the capital of newly formed Andhra?
Even a homely woman taking care of her family be more intelligent than her husband who is more educated than her.Intellgence and being knowledgeable about a subject are completely different things.
If Praneet gives "gyaan" that is because he has given more importance to developing his moral fibre and was also a part of a show, the subject of which was epitome of moral values.Hence his knowledge in that regard, makes sense.
On the other hand,I haven't found a thing which could make me question his intelligence.
If you have no good reason to appreciate him, you have none to call him anything less, too
hence,your topic loses relevance.
