Upen is an introvert person who always hide his inner self from everyone.. these kind a people seldom give some hints that reveal their inner self.. the incident in which he made Ali escape from the house tells us many things about Upen.. such as: he can make a person belief that only he is his only friend who is sincere and think for his betterment whereas everyone else is his enemy.. while inside his heart he's thinking only about his revenge and ill will for that person.. he can speak lie with a straight face while laughing at the other person in his heart..
Now I'm feeling that Upen is using his same skills to play the same game with Preetam.. the way he first made Preetam beleive that he should win the task agianst Praneet and become captain was the first step of making Preetam stand against Praneet & Pueneet.. and in second step he completed this task by making Preetam believe today that whatever he's saying & doing is right.. whereas on the other hand, he said to Dimpy that don't know what happened to Preetam as he never talked to any girl like this in the past..
In this way Upen is not only able to break P3G but also stained the soft & witty gentleman image of Preetam.. he was so right when he said that I can play with others' minds..
