if he was that cunning he would target Diandra or Karishma so that they would react and he would get sympathy from viewers. Instead he chose Sonali as he felt they were actually close, but instead she was just using him for footage.

Completely agree with you @BeingBlunt.

IMO, the rape idea is too far to be thought about just basing on that statement. However, I am tired of reading "Sonali used Gautam"...blah blah nonsense. Why does everyone forget the episodes where Gautam himself said "she is hateli", "mujhe nahi parna in sab chakkar mein", "kuch nahin iske saath", and then again sing songs for her in an over dramatic manner , kiss her on the cheek, etc...

When Sonali slept on the same bed with Gautam, everything was fine. "She is an adult", "She knows what she is doing", "They are just sharing a bed". And then cut to where Sonali was just talking with Chupen on the same bed or goofing around or who knows what in that less than 1 minute scene, all the GG fans jump to their fantasized conclusions about a girl.
