Nobody is actually taking up this role of Captain seriously in BB8. They are all breaking the rules, being partial to their clan (upen and diandra). As mentioned by Salman, Ali was a nice captain only in his first week.
Like in most seasons, one cannot use the Captain's bed, but in BB8, this bed is the bed for the captain's friend to sit, rest or whatever. I remembered in BB6, Aashka was punished by BB because she allowed Sanaa to sleep on the captain's bed.
Most of them still communicate in English. What the hell? If the rules are that you need to speak hindi, then abide to it. But two of the captains so far, has mostly spoken in English.
Captains are supposed to be fair, non-judgmental and strict. Ali was like that in that meethai task but Upen and Diandra have proved to be really weak in the captaincy task. Diandra made a very silly mistake by nominating Gautam and Puneet, coz the former has always been the audience's favourite and he is constantly being saved, while the latter seems to the channel's protegee and/or even after the act of violence, he was not evicted, then why will he be evicted this week?
Diandra has proved that she is not a proactive person, coz in end there are two weak contestants in the nomination along with gautam and puneet.
And in all this, BB has not yet made any comment on how their "pradarshaan was as captain" as he used to do in previous season. Yes, he did punished Ali. But Upen was a poor captain, nothing was said on this by BB, and Diandra is so partial.
Those who want be captain, are given the tag that he (Gautam) is a pyscho, he is not balanced. And others are simply using captaincy as a means to en end, that of immunity, maybe because they are doubtful about their own stay in the house. Pritam can be a good captain, but nobody will actually take him seriously because he has become the one who cracks jokes here and there, and he has now come across as someone who can be easily influenced. As far as praneet, if he becomes captain, then I believe we will see Mahabharat part 2 in BB8. Even before Gautam, becoming captain, housemates have already plotted to disturb his captaincy, so right now even Gautam is not apt to be captain, he should be captain in the finale week. Karishma will actually be a chela of Diandra in case she becomes captain, and as she does not make effective use of her brain, then she will obviously make very dumb decision. Arya will turn the house in 1970's hindi cinema and only acting and poor acting will take place.
Dunno if any of these wildcards can prove to be a good captain. I am rather counting on either nigaar or dimpy (they can actually use their brains), renee is a good choice but tonight's reality check thing, she will be the next target of many.
