First of all,
I find it hilarious that housemates think Upen is balanced and calm. Last two days he seems more like a footage seeker picking up fights where there are none. Also, he has done NOTHING so far in the house, except sit in the bed, gossip with his ladies and have soni feed him, Sushant worship him and Arya follow him around. Plus, they really needed to convince Puneet nad Pritam to let him win, because by himself, he is pretty useless. Upen just stood around, like a loser, not taking charge of his own captaincy, waiting for others to nominate him. He has no personality and just hope he is voted out next. Sonali has become a nobody suddenly in the house and has lost whatever footing she had gained after coming back. Arya is funny with his expressions and randomness. Minissha is playing it cool and with a stable head on her shoulders. I think she is fake, but she is the most sorted person in the house right now, coming out of all her controversies and fights with a silent dignity.
Upen is not going to be a neutral captain and we all know that. He is going to favor his group. And he is also bullied into things by his group. It's almost as if the captaincy is shared by Diandra, Karishma and Upen. So this nonsensical excuses by the HM are lame. Karishma and Diandra know that Upen is their kathputli and they can veer him towards whatever they want very easily. Arya knows that he can be the assistant in this and at least get some prominence under his shadow. Sonali is in la la land if she thinks Upen being captain will increase her chances for anything, because at the rate Ali is going, she is not going to have a standing in the bedroom or outside very soon.
Gautam is ridiculous in his arguments and really talks nonsense sometimes, but one does feel for him when everyone alienates him. The public opinion being with him is what I think adds to the housemates hating on him with such force. Although, he really needs to mend his ways and stop being over confident. Although, I increasingly feel, he is not being fake like the rest. If he wanted to be fake, he;d make sure to get along with everyone and then bitch behind their back, without them knowing. He doesn't seem to give a hoot and behaves exactly how he feels, with everybody. You see him never interacting with Diandra, Karishma, or the rest. He simply stick to Puneet, Praneet and Pritam. Some can say that as being a sore loser and back biting behind their backs. But at least there is no pretense of getting along. He never back bites about his friends, and I think that's what counts. But again, he really needs to get rid of negativity because he will be nominated every week and the public may not always save him.
Praneet has disappointed me. Not because he went agains Gautam, because I feel he did try to explain to Gautam how to mend his ways. But because, he has suddenly taken a holier than thou attitude and seems to be giving gyaan to everyone who may listen about what he thinks. Very uncle vibe and not fun at all. Plus his random shouting since last 3 episodes seems very fake and footage seeking. He is liked for him calm and composed behavior and not for all this bhashan and yelling battles. He should have been captain ideally and been fair, instead of Upen. Praneet and Pritam are the real fair neutral ones in the game and actually deserve being captain.
I found it wrong of Praneet to keep making causal references to people's love stories in the house. I mean he should know that making a joke of Karishma's liking for Pritam or whatever on camera is not right considering Pritam is a married man. He was also pushing Gautam towards Sonali and putting both of them in an uncomfortable spot. He should stick to his own business instead of playing cupid for no reason, embarassing people in the process.
Karishma is very chalaak, and selfish, which I don't think can change as it's part of her nature. She is laying low because of the constant attacks on her, but she is playing very smartly. I won't be surprised if she is in the finals. Diandra on the other hand plays herself. She is not very likeable, but she is as she is, no games, no pretense. She bitches, but she is a bit like Gautam. Does not try to be everyone's friend and get along with people who she doesn't like. It's actually admirable.
Puneet , lesser said, better. Pritam is my favorite. Although, he too, has quirks, I may not be comfortable with, like his constant women jaap or his so called attraction towards Karishma in the LF. He is married and should keep that in mind at all times. But, considering all other housemates are such lallus, he stands out as best.
