Upen clearly got very jealous, insecure and pissed when Ali entered the bigg house. His expression totally changed and Ali interacted with him warmly but Upen was so forced and fake.

He does not like that a strong personality like Ali entered, and that too become captain. Now he will give orders to Upen and he does not like that.

He quickly went and gossiped to Soni about their tasks.

He wants to play the game in such a way that he gets ignored by everyone so others can fight with each other and nominate each other and hence Upen can go far. That's why Upen refuses to step out of glass house, he mostly sleeps or is touchy touchy with girls. He knows if he spends time with the guys then he will be confronted about why he is so silent and reserved and he wants to avoid that.

I totally dislike this guy, he thinks he is upper class hate how he speaks to Praneet, he provides nothing for the show, always sleeps or is touchy with Soni, same goes for miss soni. I hope a duet elimination happens and these two get their ass kicked out during the night while they sleeping.

Really? I didn't feel that was the case, I mean they just woke up n all so I doubt he cared at that point.

And he does do work, as Ali said he was doing the main living area work all on his own and Sushant was the one who was lazying around fixing his hair.

I like Upen though, I feel that hes neutral and detached and that's very smart of him to do.

They clearly have some past history. But yeah he and his gang was didn't really care. I think Ali isn't as popular, but I mean if it was like Akshay kumar or someone much more popular than they would have been more engaging and warm.

But Tanna group gave out such a cold vibe. They said hi and then went back to bed, whereas P3G and Sonali tried to make him feel more at home.

He did not treat Hrithik warmly as well. He comes out as insecure type of character. I agree. I have not seen this episode but several of my family members have given me same feedback.

Upen did not even came to Soni's rescue when she was pissed off when Pritam nominated her for sevak...knowing he was the one who was fed and Finally Arya came to her rescue

i don't know abt the touchy touchy part..it'd actually seems as tho you are venting out your strong dislike of Upended here..hwever i also thought he was very insecure ..like a lot of the other members
