Why did Rekha gift Sushant a 'Saree'

Why did Rekha gift Sushant a saree? Isn't it something worn by women? And he had also said that he would give it to her mother when Rekha asked how would he wear a saree if he got one?

I didnt get the logic actually, not that BB is about logic, but still.

It seems it was decided that whoever will be adjudged the best dancer by Rekha will get a Kanjeevaram saree as the prize. She found Sushant's dance impressive but was hesitant about how he would use it- because it is a saree, after all.

That is why she asked if he would use the saree as it is or get it altered to make another dress for himself. His answer of giving it to his mom first...touched her so she proceeded with giving it to Sushant only.

Why did he get a saree - because he participated in the dance contest for girls.

He wears women's clothing, apparently. He donned Karishma's saree in the first week.
