I feel even though some of these start off as fake romances people involved get attached as the journey goes on. Some of these people would not even give each other a second glance if they met outside but because of lack of options in the house and how emotionally vulnerable everyone is they click. They form an attachment and bond which is quite deep because they've had the same journey that no one else outside has, they can relate to each other. When the show ends they are suddenly separated and they feel a void. It's like if you see a friend everyday and they move...it's terrible and depressing. So that bond stays for most even if it was started as a fake romance, for some as love and for others the bond lasts but only as friendship.

There are 2 factors I'd like to point out when it comes to relationships on this show:

  1. Human beings cannot survive without companionship, especially in this day and age, social interaction or communication is so vital for our existence that it is practically dangerous for us to function without it. It isn't impossible but it will severely affect one's mental health.
  2. Humans take nearly 2 months to form a habit, this can differ from person to person as well but that's the average time given for a person to form a strong habit.

Now, let's fit this in the context of this show and the people inside that house - they spend 3 months together, locked up in a tense atmosphere with no form of distraction except each other, no books, no paper, no phone, no music, no nothing.

All of them (except Shamita Shetty) are on the same level, they are in this show to earn money by exposing their so called reality to the world and handling whatever curveballs the makers/audience throws at them. This is a common thread that ties them all together.

They come into the house alone and they seek out company to survive in that house because its vital not just for their game but it's a basic necessity.

In such a situation, it is not impossible for two people to truly develop feelings for each other even they are actors who might be faking it (it is similar to actors playing lovers in some tv show or movie then winding up dating eo).

They are inside that house and around each other 24/7, even if they dislike the person they are with, they will eventually come to like them.

Why?

Because, the house is chaotic mess. It's a test of your mental and emotional temperament. Every day is going to be filled with fights and people attacking each other for the most silliest of reasons and in such a situation, you manage to find one person who sticks by you then it makes a difference.

I remember seeing a snippet of KK mentioning something along the lines that the 24/7 duration of his relationship with people in the house for a month is equivalent to a normal relationship in the real world for a year. And, I completely agree with this.

This is where the habit kicks in.

When you spend 24/7 with one person for a month or more than that, it becomes a habit to have them around you, your body and mind becomes accustomed to them.

Thus, all this factors into some of these couples managing to making it last outside the house as well. When you have already seen the worst of your partner inside the house then nothing can really destroy the relationship outside where they can be on their best.

TLDR; Basically, the psychological affects the house has on these relationships and why they last.

Anyways, at the end of the day, these people have fun, they date, get paid a huge chunk of money and you or me or anyone else calling them fake has no effect on them 😆

Isliye, I am someone who does not care about the couples on these shows.

So we'll put. 👏👏👏

The whole BB setup seems surreal and as if it exists in a parallel universe. Sometimes watching BB, and especially LF n we see them going about their normal routine, n it seems like for them that BB house is their entire world n nothing exists outside. So yeah different bonds are bound to form. Even other bonds are formed on the basis of need and survival and I guess love angle is one of them.

I'll be honest, my actual purpose of watching this show is more due to my interest in human psychology.

BB is very different from other reality shows. It is not like other reality shows that is shot for a couple of hours, it's on 24/7 thus it makes it more interesting to watch because no matter how well scripted or edited the show might be - it's impossible to keep faking it 24/7, their real personality will eventually slip through.

And like you said, the BB house is the entire world for them in the 3 months. They have no other means of contact or communication to the outside world. It's pretty much similar to being dropped on an island without the whole survival situation 😆

So yes, bonds do form in such circumstances, even if we find it fake, some might actually wind up being real.
