BB did not make an announcement to that effect last time because it was clearly mentioned in the rules of the task that no chariot must be tampered with before the task commences. Why would he announce something that has clearly been printed out for the contestants to read? I did not hear a rule of this sorts be read out loud this time so that is possibly why the other alliance thought it was an okay thing to do.
I'm gonna be honest here, I do not know what the whole argument was about. Was it because Pratik claimed he saw Umar hide the basket in the cabinet or was it because of his claim of having seen Umar take it out of the cabinet? If it's the latter then Umar actually didn't lift a muscle for that, it was Afsana who did his bidding for him. And if its the former then even though Umar was the one to hide it, all four of the contestants were equally responsible for it as no one stopped him.
He probably didn't come out as the brains behind this action because BB didn't specify who did it, he just wanted to save his face. At least this how it seemed to me.
Simba has been keeping his anger bottled in and having dear diary moments from the day of his entry into the house. He doesn't say anything to your face nor does he feel that it's necessary, he keeps it all in and when he gets a chance, he becomes a loose bull causing quite a commotion. He definitely has been nursing this grudge against Umar since the day Umar played him in the BB points task and will continue to do so.
Honestly I feel BB announced it because they did not want a repeat of Pratik incident. Otherwise if not rules, no need to announce? It’s fair play if the teams can hide each other’s baskets. But BB probably got scared the task would be radh or nothing will happen because baskets are missing. Ironically they didn’t even end up using the baskets.
Not sure but why does that matter? Umar did hide it and asked Afsana to retrieve it. He was guilty, Pratik wasn’t falsely accusing him. He could have just admitted and said everyone was in it. Like I think he shouldn’t get mad over such things, just say yeah sab ne socha tha we won’t do anymore that’s it. Just thought he got a bit too angry; better to just admit in such cases and defend fruitlessly.
Simba hmm i feel he does what people do outside the house. He doesn’t confront people directly but writes in a diary lol like venting. In real life, he probably ignores the people he dislikes but he can’t do that in BB. Tbf Umar did play him lol and this whole thing was ugly from the start. The boys were really shoving each other. Simba calmes down at least but now Umar is on edge even in the morning. This game gets pretty bad for mental health god

I remember seeing Umar’s pant leg when pushing the cupboard close but it was probably the team’s decision,

That most certainly could be why BB actually made an announcement. Ek task toh ho matlab 😆
Pratik's was adamant that he saw Umar mess with the basket which is untrue as he wasn't there when Umar put it in the cabinet and neither did Umar retrieve it so there's no way Pratik's claim holds up. This is what I believe, caused tempers to flare. He did make the correct guess that it was Umar who had done it but his evidence for the same was untrue.
Had I been in Umar's place, I would have confessed and just said that I did what I did because it wasn't against the rules, BB announced that it was unfair later. Unlike in Pratik's case where he knew fully well that what he's doing is clearly a mockery of the rules. I don't think Pratik would have had a comeback for that.
Simba needs to realise what kind of a show he signed up for, this show is going to test like you've never been tested before. What did he expect? That no one would ever break his trust in the game? If he actually did then I can't help but chide him for his appalling naivety.
I kind of get where Umar is coming from, firstly Simba allegedly used a very sensitive term to refer to him (He mentioned something along the lines of referencing his look to that of a terrorist. Now I don't need to shool anyone on how bad this is especially given the religion Umar practices) and them he was swung into the pool with such aggression by Simba, for something he didn't even do. Simba faced no repercussions for both these incidents and it has got to sting. I'd be pissed off too had I been in Umar's shoes, not gonna lie. He's handling it way better than I ever would.
I can't imagine the toll everyone's mental well being is taking due these constant shenanigans. Locked up in a house 24/7 with people you dislike without any contact with the outside world and your support system. But that's one of the challenges you gotta overcome.
