So, I will just try to tell you. Though MC means - Motherfu****. It is not supposed to be taken literally.

Now, I don't have any research papers, journal articles or any book extracts which can prove it.

But, yeah. That's how Gaalis work.

Also, I feel because of this debate(argument), we have found this huge but useless research gap in our Indian slang language department. Maybe someone might get motivated to write their thesis 'Gaalis - Origin, Meaning and Context'.

Super Happy.

Can you please also explainto them … That calling HMs. Bewakoofi. Gadhaa. Baingan is also gaalee.

And if one wants to stretch this .. if I am gadhaa. So is my mom and dad and family. Means he abused my entire family ? Like anyone can stretch anything into anything. Na ? I leave this debate to you now. Am off from this thread. I am headed into wall and I love me head and blood … can’t afford bumps and or bruises unlike our man Pratik who seems to be on a journey of .. I hope I get a vote with each gaale and each physical incident. :).

btw. Saying f#%% as he said is also a gaalee. I guess people think English main bola to its flowers :). But Hindi mein bola to gaalees :).

Bye and good luck :).

If you don't have any proof that gaalis aren't meant to be taken literally then it's just you and others like you who think that.

If someone does take it literally, you can't call them wrong.

Not getting what you're saying. But till now I'm not rooting for any particular contestant in Bigg Boss 15.

See the term Mother F****R is obviously to be not taken seriously because who would do that to their mother? And with girls they can’t do it anyway not in a literal sense at atleast. So it’s an absurd word but to some it can be a trigger.

Now if it was I will F***K your M, S or whomever then yes that seems a thing to take a pause. But MF? It’s ridiculous in my opinion.

You actually wanna dissect a gaalee. Well. Here … if someone says .. mOtherf##^. What does it mean. He f#%^ a mom. Correct ? Why do you assume it’s his mom ? It can mean his child’s mom. Meaning his wife or gf ? Or someone else who is someone’s mom ? And on and on and on. 😂😂.

so read your last sentence. It’s upto them on how they wanna take it. And in case of the sanskaree ma ka dil ka saaf putra — he decided that any gaalee is related to his mom. As the gaalee given by Jay was not related to his mom even.

And try to argue this. If you call me gaddhaa. It’s the worst gaaalee ever. BecUse then you are Implyong my mom dad siblings everyone is. Right ? Cause humans don’t give birth to donkey ? And you just said that upto anyone to take a gaalee literally. So pratik is giving the absolute worst gaalees in house. Abusing not just their moms. But their entire families. Hain na ?

This is called. Game. Set. Match btw. :)

Once again. Just 4 u.

Your argument is almost valid.

Well almost.

What you are missing is the context.

this 'someone' who has taken the gaali literally is 'Pratik'.

So, if he thinks all the gaalis are to be taken literally. WHY DOES HE HIMSELF USE GAALIS?

He could mean it. I'm not defending him there. But he didn't give gaali to Jay so he could expect the same decency in return.
