You’re missing the point here. Both he and his mom have been training for years at some academy (don’t recall the name). If that is the case, then I’m sorry either the academy has incompetent teachers or that these two are intrinsically bad singers. If it’s the former, then they should have long moved on to some other academy.

The output is unacceptable by industry standards.

Rahul has always been a mediocre singer. Today, you could see the difference between the three artists. Success doesn't necessarily reflect the best talent. Rahul lives with the belief that he deserves more, which by itself is not wrong but combined with the idea that he is better than some of the really better singers is what puts people off.

When he was talking about money in the money shredder task, I could feel that he understands the worth of money and how difficult it is to sustain a career in an industry that is churning out newer talent. That was one of the few genuine moments you can associate with Rahul. But the rest of the time, he exudes bitterness.
