What was the reason for Jaan's anger on Kavita

I didn't understand why Jaan was so cruel to Kavita. The way he was torturing her even after everyone expt Rahul warned him it looked more like if he could he would murder Kavita. It didn't look like task. It was clear "Violence."He was not giving time to let her breath.

Why was he so mad at her? She is weak now was that his real reason? Because as far as I can remember the original fight is in between Kavita and Ejaj. How and why was he so angry ?
