A feeling that you are better or more important than other people, often as a way of hiding your feelings of failure

A feeling of superiority or exaggerated self-importance, often accompanied by excessive aggressiveness, arrogance, etc. which are compensation for feelings of inferiority

Definition of Superiority Complex

Going by the definition, who do you think has superiority Complex in BB house?

You can your interpretation as well

For me it's Eijaj

He doesn't like when people talk back to him and they have to respect him because he is senior, too many instances of his weird facial expressions whenever someone is saying anything against him

I would say all housemates have an Inferiority complex with regards to the heroine of the show - RUBINA. She is most popular celeb this season and they feel inadequate in front of her so they cover up their own complex by blaming her and saying she has a superiority compleX [She does not , all evicted contestants have confirmed it and said RUBINA deserves to win]. The complex exists within them and they instead blame Rubina but entire country is seeing the truth.

An Inferiority complex is a psychological term used to describe people with intense feelings of inadequacy, often resulting in social submissiveness. It often stems from the belief that one is in some way deficient, or inferior, to others.

Example of usage - All BB14 contestants have An Inferiority complex with regards to Rubina.

To know whether a person is having "superiority complex" or not,we need to know that person more closely.

I don't think by watching an hour episode,I can come to the conclusion that one particular is having superiority complex.

So I won't name any as I don't think just by some particular instances,I can name of any contestant😊

Fair enough

I am just trying to understand this phrase being used in the show

I looked it up and found that it is a defence mechanism individuals build overtime to compensate their failures

What is your understanding of this?

They don't know that Rubina is popular

Jasmin thought she'll get evicted against Shardul and Salman keeps belittling her every week, No guests talks about her popularity

I don't think they have any idea of her popularity

I don't think she has Superiority Complex or she is trying to compensate for her failures

Even if She thinks she is better than everyone in the house, that's not Superiority Complex

Every evicted contestant has only good things to say for her and Abhinav

I'm not sure but I've noticed most celebs who come from small towns feel inferior to or unwelcomed by mumbaikars celeb, this maybe a reason can't say for sure as I only got to know them from BB.

Farah also taunted abhinav on where he is from so I think it's mostly that reason..

In your definition it says it is a way to compensate for your inferiority right? They feel inferior for coming from small towns and hence compensate by behaving like they r from LA ..

The simple fact that Rubina has done pretty much nothing to entertain in the show and had been in a vegetative state shows that she believes that she is superior to others and doesnt need to work hard to earn the Big Boss win. Rubina believes she has followers, a huge number of which are paid. If you go to Twitter and notice most of the accounts have no background, all created in the last few weeks with only a Rubina Rubina agenda, implying that most of them are paid/fake.
If only Rubina didnt have this superiority complex, she would have worked hard. You spoke about Eijaz. He is doing everything in the house, even in yesterdays qawaali he was performing throughout to entertain. Rubina believes she is too above the show, she is above big boss, she is above Salman Khan and hence she doesnt need to put in any effort to winning the show.

How is this Superiority Complex?

She thinks she has fans therefore not doing anything

But her fans are paid means she doesn't have fans so how is she resting easy in the house?

#Contradiction

I am looking for a genuine discussion
