The height of double standards.

THAT’S MY WHOLE POINT! It was never degrading in that sense, Rashmi (pumped by Asim) at them time created a huge issue out of something that wasn’t even that big of a deal. Part of her game to play victim but now that she’s realised it, it’s nothing more than a joke. These jokes were even made in front of her in the house.

Because it was blown way out of proportion and wasn’t that big of a deal that’s why it later turned into a joke. And fyi rashmi uses it in her tweets too in an attempt to be “savage”

In the same vein, you would not be mad if someone keeps mocking Shehnaaz by calling her “flipper” or “characterless”? Because she did use those terms for herself as well?

Its the intent that matters- Shukla said it to demean and character-shame Rashmi. And Rashmi might have said it to reclaim it, but that does not mean that the perpetrator can keep joking about it. No no no.

Firstly There’s nothing wrong or demeaning in flipper. It was her game and it worked well for her. Secondly if you’ve watched the episode Shehnaaz uses characterless for herself when she thought it meant easy-going. So it’s not at all the same thing.

Secondly if aisi larki is demeaning why wasn’t there a single post in support of sana when the exact same thing was said to her in the exact same way much before sid and Rashmi’s fight happened? Not a single person found it demeaning. Why?! Because you dislike sana and Asim is your favourite so it’s okay?! Because she didn’t play victim to get sympathy and footage it’s all good. But if Sid says it suddenly the same people who turned a blind eye earlier are triggered. The height of double standards.

P.s. I didn’t find it demeaning in that way when Asim said it neither did I find it that way when sid said it.

I have watched the episodes. She called herself characterless many times incl. that charactermore dialogue so pretty sure she knew what it meant by then. I am not giving Shehnaaz the benefit of doubt on that.

Did Sana imply to Asim that she interpreted his words are character shaming her? Did Asim even then continue to say it, by pairing it with a demeaning hand gesture again and again and again? Did Asim then also make the insinuation further clear by saying “isko ghar lena band kar diya hai”? No, no and no.

If you are amply clear that your words and actions are coming off as sl*t shaming and you persist doing it, then you are trash and scum of the Earth. Plain and simple.

I can't believe this debate is still ongoing. Everyone and their dog is aware what "aisi ladki" together with the lovely "Aisi ladki ko maine ghar pe lena bandh kardiya hain" said in Hindi, in the tone and context that Shukla said it, given his past with Rashmi - means. Everyone. It never fails to boggle my mind what lengths are gone to to defend a misogynistic jerk, that used his shared past with a woman to s**t shame her on National telly. Smh.
