Shukla knows asim is a threat, but he doesnt want to openly admit it, he and hms believe in "say it until it becomes true", that's why they keep undermining him in order not highlight him as a threat ! The exact reason why sid exploded on aarti when she said u and asim r the strongest, it was something that was not supposed to be said out loud ....

I feel Hina khel gyi pehle Baadshah poocha hoga toh utavle baawle HMs & bhaade ke connections kood ke Shukla bol gaye, might have asked Ikka later when only worthy ones left would be Asim, Rashami. Just assuming😆
