You are very right here.
Bigg boss is infact about survival, not romance. I can understand attachment in such an environment. You need some semblance of stability to make the toxic environment in the house bearable.
Wherever we are, be it workplace, college or schools, it is understandable that we stick to some people and become pretty close to a few! In here, they are speding 24×7 with the same people. So this is normal.
But love is a completely different ballgame.
This is where bb narrative comes into place. There are 2 sides to this love angle which I understand here.
One is that you like the company of a person, attraction both physical and otherwise is there, so you form a bond. But, along with the 'feeling' there is also this awareness that audience loves getting involved and rooting for couples. Here, love angle starts off as organic and becomes a monetary one. There is a high chance of going overboard here.
Another way, is that there is an organic bond with attraction and attachment, but no label. So, in a way a contestant forgets that there are cameras around. So two people remain close but do not take it beyond a point because there is always the chance to explore it outside.
But bb narrative will bring in these elements, even if they are private scenes, pakao a romantic khichdi and serve it to the audience.
The perfume stuff and all might be just private scenes which Asim did not want to share. They might even be disconnected to the context. What if he just missed her. But since Asimanshi has a fandom, it is being telecasted.
Sidnaaz was definitely the example of the first scenario.
Also, I just saw the promo for today. I did not like it a lot because...well, Himanshi is definitely milking this angle. But Asim looked like he was staking a claim, since the girl would be leaving soon. I might be biased here!😆
