Why is Sid back to treating Rashmi horribly?

So my question is not why he is treating her so horribly because we all know they have some past issues.He has questioned her character and all before as well.But things seemed to have become ok with them last week.They were very cordial with each other. Just few days ago he was joking and running around with her. Then came the Pasta thing and all went to hell. So what really changed? Is it only the Pasta thing or some deep rooted issue?
