I think Mahira is young and intimidated by the more senior members and lot of support for them outside. She is trying to make her presence felt and the company she is in is not helping her. She ends up supporting stuff that normally she wouldn't. She ends up saying stuff that normally she wouldn't.

I think she is sweet somewhere down there but she is losing it because of Paras and Sana. Like how she broke down when BB wished her happy birthday because she was feeling low. Or how she hugged Asim when he came forward and hugged her. The glow on her face meant a lot. And then Paras got upset and she was back to normal :)
