Really Sorry, don’t mean to be rude, but I’m impatient and cannot read such long posts, but panic attacks is a problem in the mind of the person, they are worrying about something which is non existent and not happened at all.

Mindfulness helps overcome the problem and Aarti should have been aware of it.

Panic attacks can be isolate or part of a generalized anxiety disorder which people are diagnosed with and some are prescribed medicines for. It is not something that someone can easily switch off from all of a sudden. It needs to be managed by a professional.

Thanks TM for writing this post. People in real life do go through it and for it to be questioned or mocked on SM and forums is something completely against what our society is slowly coming to terms with and accepting.

sana and empathy???

rashmi ke dresses borrow karti hai, usse taunt karti hai.

take help of aarti and mocks her.

mahira and paras ko ATM ki tarah use karti hai. jab chahe jao, use karo and kick them again and again.

Threads like these are the reason I love coming to this forum. Jo chizze real life me log interest se discuss nahi karte woh yaha discuss kar sakte he.

An abundance of insight here. Thank you TM for noticing and making this topic.

Human factor naam ki bhi cheez hoti he. Which was quite obviously missing from several housemates yesterday. Very sad.

Sher was too good 👌

Thankyou for atleast acknowledging that Sana had a panic attack- a neurotic breakdown of sorts. Hardly anybody does that here and frames it as nautanki, drama and more. And people expect breakdowns to follow some rigid robotic stereotype, when it can vary from person to person.

What makes this situation tough for Sana to emotionally empathize is that she is aware the victim here has issues with her and her attitude. And with Sid’s attitude too, irrespective of whether they are right or not. Sana going to her would only aggravate or suppress it and Sid going to her would give her wrong signals and just make her further emotionally dependent. Few therapists in this situation would advice either Sana or Sid to attend to Aarti under said circumstances, especially given the context of the earlier conversations he had had with her.

Alright even taking the line that Sana didn’t go to her, you think it’s okay for her to tell Sid- that why should you care for her, is she your mausi’s daughter.

You can support someone and be someone’s fan but you can call them out when they do something’s that’s just against any kind of decency. Sana for all her flaws and I mean I hate her basically didn’t lack empathy till now on the show. But suddenly in her quest to be loyal to Shukla she’s forgetting the very basic innate empathy that she did have.

Either she was faking it all along or she did do a callous thing by making that intensive statement. Hope you can Atleast recognise that.

I don't blame Sana as the way she has been pampered in BB, she would think that whatever she does is beyond reproach. Ah the irony when she says Asim is getting overconfident.

Anyways felt bad for Aarti. Deep down she seems a nice person and is happy for others. Hope she comes out a stronger person after BB. Seems she has suffered terrible personal tragedy too.

Shukla se there’s zero expectation - he’s just nasty - period. But Sana I thought had empathy - truly. She didn’t wanna go to Aarti - mat jao, despite the fact that Aarti supported her when she had her meltdown. But to make a comment like “tumhaari maasi ki ladki hain kya?”. Even privately - away from Aarti, she felt nothing for Aarti’s condition and it showed. Didn’t expect such nastiness from Sana. Ab she was fooling me pehle, or she simply will do whatever in her zeal to gain points with Shukla - is anyone’s guess.

You've explained it so well. All the important points are covered. Am copy pasting what I'd posted on DDT yesterday.

Regarding panic attacks : Panic attacks are an acute episode of anxiety. Not related to depression. That's a different disorder. Triggers or situations may cause a person to hyperventilate and breathe too fast making them believe that they're not getting enough air. There's a crushing feeling in the chest sometimes associated with an impending sense of doom. Also, in rare cases muscle spasms.

Tip : Rebreathing in a bag helps. Do not crowd the person. Leave sufficient space and don't let your panic add to the person's.

Behavioral therapy is the treatment of choice in such cases. If that doesn't help, they add on drugs.

Only Sid haters can’t see it . By everyone else can .

Wow! Don’t be so blind in love with your contestant that you’re going to belittle someone’s mental health in such a Demeaning way.

For your sake I really hope Sid wins, so you feel vindicated in supporting him and don’t need to resort to such horrible accusations to prove he’s the best and he deserves to win.

What happened to Arti was real- mental health issues and problems are as real as any other in life. Just because you can’t see their physical manifestations like you can in a physical ailment doesn’t mean that it’s not that bad.

Man we really need people to have a dialogue on mental heath awareness in this country, so people don’t make statements like you do.

Asim asked him to leave but he himself walked away from Arti when she was howling in the afternoon. A real friend could have just held her and given her a hug if not more.

Sana not going to her isn’t the issue but making the callous statement ‘ Teri mausi ki beti hai’ is.

I still don't know the root cause of my panic attack even after so many years.i would sleep for 3 -4 hrs only for years.I used to take medicines for piles and used to be super anxious.Felt as if hd to go washroom all the time..

It started somewhere like this. Then I was scared to go to theatres or anywhere or anywhere I feel trapped .Later I couldn't control myself when traffic signal would go red and get trapped in middle of people. Then I couldn't cross a divider and go to other side of road.I feared making mockery of myself.I stopped using vehicles.Nkw even if someone else is driving ,I do feel uneasy and feel choked on flyovers .

A dal boiling in cooker made be puke for 2 years .other boiling things also had same effect.

The day I m having fever ....I vomit even if I smell the vegetable cutting.

I used to use inhaler....not anymore.I used to do Pranayam nd I would keep breathing that way throughout months leading to lung exhaustion.

When I have panic attack....I feel I would lose control ...Before nobody wanted to accept ...there is a problem.

I and my family thought i m not making efforts to get well...It took 10 year for me to really understand .My friends who are doctors forced me to see doctor. Then no one in my family had history for it to be chronic.

So it got traced to not sleeping well.

If people start deliberating this much before empathizing, be it a tiny experimental pod of bbh or this huge world, tab to ho hi gaya!

No, empathy should never be about personal equations and deliberations and analysis
