Exactly!! It's the same slight push which mahira gave shefu and she shoved her back. In this case I think Asim was bugged that Shukla was in his private space hence he pushed him. Asim is not wrong today, but he stood and let Shukla invade others personal space, he did nothing then. That is bad.

Because Asim was mocked by almosteveryone that time except for Abu n Sid and Paras used to tease him badly so he saw Sid as an big brother who always hold you back like " kisne hath lagaya mere Bhai ko"

And aarti took that connection theme very seriously and became a doormat, pativrata and what not, it's because of that fake eviction of Rashmi n Devo she found some of her self respect if any left
