Govinda's nieces in prime time battle

Govinda himself, was quite a hilarious disaster on television when he hosted the popular game show Chappad Phad Ke over ten years ago... but happily his nieces, the young actress-cousins Aarti Singh and Ragini Khanna, are not discouraged by their Mamaji's bad luck on the small screen. And both girls will clash in teleserials, that will be beamed at the same time!

While Ragini already has Sasural Genda Phool on air, Aarti's show, Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai will soon start on another channel at the same time. The cousins, however, deny there is any rivalry at home.

"Not at all!" laughs Aarti, "When Ragini got to know of the show timing, she called me up and said 'Tujhe aur koi time nahin mila kya?' But we both are very happy for each other. Our audiences are different and our characters are very different, toh farak nahin padta." Both girls are reluctant to draw on Govinda's fame to garner publicity for themselves. "We have the advantage of being his nieces but if we're not good at our work, nobody is going to invest in us," says Aarti. Meanwhile, people are wondering which of the two shows Govinda will see. Knowing his multi-tasking abilities, he might just surf between both...
