Here is part 1! 😃 I decided to write the Sinha family lines in their typical bihari hindi because frankly I couldn't imagine them talking in english lol, but the other lines are in english, I'll use hindi only when Sinha family is around.
Also, this fic is not going to be as humorous as BB originally is, and slightly more intense, so I apologize in advance for the lack of humour. Characters that are generally comic in nature might be more sober, eg - Amarjeet, I won't change his persona but he won't be as comical as he originally is.
Oh and yeah, I'm gonna be following the current storyline, except that they'll all be written the way I wanted them to :) Without further delay, please enjoy this part and comment! =)
Part 1:
Armaan rushed down to see as to what exactly was wrong. The scene before him was heated but by no means was it surprising. Bharti had gotten into yet another tiff with Bua, apparently over who pushed Jia. Armaan silently thanked god for her well being in his mind as Jia's name faded back into his memory. Omkaar, Radha, Bua, Bao ji and Bua's son (I forgot his name) were there.
"Aapko zara si bhi sharam nahi aayi ? saara ilzaam jaan booj kar us bechari par daal diya inspite of the fact ki galti aapki thi!", yelled Bharti in her self-righteous tone.
"Arre hume ka padi us ladki ko dhakka maarne ki ?! Ye saara tamasa Radha ka kiya dhara hai", she looked at Bao ji, "Bhaiyya, dekhiye na, aapki bahurani humare upar kitna bada iljaam laga rahi hai", she said in her overdramatic tone.
Bao ji looked at Bharti for a moment, but before he could speak, Bharti said, "Aap sab ko inke dikhaawe ke peeche ka jhoot nazar nahi aata kya ? Ya phir aap sab sach dekhna chahte hi nahi hain ?!", and with that she shook her head, muttered "Crazy bunch of people" to herself and walked off.
Armaan stared at her retreating figure as she walked past him. He couldn't help but smile at her unthinking truthfulness. She would always speak her mind, even if it meant contradicting President Obama himself. He knew that it wasn't Radha's fault, this web of lies was stitched by Bua herself, but he also knew that his family would never believe that.
Before he could say anything, Omkaar spat out, "Arre in Bharti ji hum kare to ka karein! Inhone to poora ghar hi apne sar par utha liya hai"
"Bharti sach keh rahi hai Bhaiyya, isme Radha Bhabhi ki koi galti nahi hai. Agar aapko vishwaas nahi hota, to Jia ke theek hone ke baad aap usse hi pooch lena", said Armaan before he could stop himself.
Omkaar stared at him, visibly annoyed at his constant stand for Bharti, "Chhote aap kyun humesha Bharti ki tarafdari karte rehte hain ? Arre bhai hum pati hain unke, unhe sabse acchi tarah se jaante hain hum"
Armaan smirked inwardly at the irony of his statement, "Nahi Bhaiyya, aap Bharti ko bilkul nahi jaante", he said in a low voice, turned around and walked away.

Amarjeet literally dragged Bharti into Armaan's office. All her resistence fell on deaf ears as he held her hand and walked into Armaan's office.
"Look, I don't have time for your personal problems. If you both want your salary on time then you betther get to work, I guess you can push your personal issues aside and concentrate on the case at hand for a while. I need you two to sit together and come up with a genius idea. NOW.", Amarjeet said in a firm voice.
Bharti sighed in defeat, "Fine"
Armaan looked at Amarjeet and said, "But sir are you su-"
"No more questions. Get to work", and with that, he skipped out of Armaan's office in his usual AJ-style.
Silence hung in the room as Armaan and Bharti averted each other's eyes. The air seemed to have become thick with tension as none of them made a move. Few minutes passed before Bharti took a step forward and said, "He's right. I think we should be professionals and work this out"
Armaan looked into her eyes for a moment and said, "Yes, yes he's right"
Few minutes later...
"Extra marital affairs happen more often than you can imagine. Infact, I'd say that it is practically impossible to find a married couple who haven't checked out people from the opposite sex even once after marriage. Technically, even that is considered as going astray", said Bharti.
"I disagree Bharti. I think it's an unfair generalization to say that all married couples indulge in extra marital affairs", repled Armaan. The awkwardness which hung between them few minutes ago seemed to have evaporated suddenly. They had gone back to their usual bickering, no one could have said that here were two people who had been yanked out of their wedding to be a part of a family drama only a few weeks ago.
"Okay, maybe not everyone. But 9 out of 10 people do", said Bharti with a pause, "Infact that rate maybe highest in India. I mean look at all the closely knit families. On the outside, it looks as if all of them are 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham' type families, but in reality, they aern't. Half of the women in such families feel suffocated within their marriages, They don't recieve the love and respect they had expected to from this so called 'holy bond'. So they naturally seek the same from outside"
Armaan looked at her incredulously, "Are you advocating extra marital affairs Bharti ?"
Bharti stared at him as though he had just tried to strangle her, "Ofcourse not! I-I was just trying to look at the other side of the fe-", she stopped short and crossed her arms, "You know what, forget it. Just..just forget it", and turned around to leave. But before she could take a step forward, Armaan caught hold of her arm, "Bharti, I'm really sorry if I said something that hurt you. I didn't mean to...really", he said with utmost sincerety in his voice.
Bharti felt a sudden chill run down her spine at his touch. She looked up and stared into his eyes, and she saw the same intense emotion she had seen so many times in the past, and somehow failed to put a finger to it once again. She couldn't understand why he always had that effect on her. For that moment, just for that moment, she always forgot that she was still harbouring Bhaskar's soul inside her body. For that moment, she was just Bharti.
They were so lost in each other's eyes that they didn't see Omkaar staring at them through the glass pane...
