I have always believed that Bharti's hot and cold behaviour towards Armaan is understandable, considering her circumstances. But ever since Bharti's proposal, I have become slightly annoyed with Bharti. But let me first just say that I loved Bharti's proposal scene. Being a huge Arbi fan, I was delighted by that scene and found it very cute!! But I'm really beginning to feel for Armaan.
It must have been quite difficult for him to hear the proposal. The woman that he's harboured such strong feelings for, asked HIM to marry her....only to tell him it will be a contract marriage- OUCH!! He wants Bharti, but not under these circumstances. Poor guy....he never completely gets to have Bharti. It's always the odd moments, such as when she is taking care of Jia and they had that intense interaction, or during the Eid party when they danced together. Bharti is in his life and at the same time she isn't.
And to top it all, Bauji is under a great deal of misunderstanding about Armaan's character. The irony is that the kind of guy that Bauji is looking for is perhaps Armaan. But he cannot see that. He is blinded by his anger. And once again Armaan showed his character by remaining calm when Bauji was being harsh with him infront of others. This is where I think Bharti and Armaan are so alike. They both face their fair share of hardships. Armaan too has been through ups and downs. The only difference is that he is the silent sufferer and takes it on the chin, where as Bharti works the complete opposite!!
But I just feel that Bharti is now beginning to take Armaan for granted. Yes, she did tell him that she trusts him, something which she cannot say about others. That is very significant because to gain a person's trust is far greater than attaining someone's love. The only thing is that Bharti is aware of Armaan's love, yet she is still asking him to be her contract Hubby. He may be a sweet and considerate guy, but he is still human. He always ends up getting insulted and it's so unfortunate because he's such a dream!! To me, it just seems as if Bharti is disrespecting his love for her by asking him to do this. He may not have openly said that he loves her, but Bharti herself told him that not everything needs to be said, some things should be understood. It's about time she understood Armaan.
As much as I love Bharti, I would like to see her give Armaan the respect he gives her. I want her to realize her feelings now. The writers are moving Bharti and Armaan's story forward, but they are not focusing on Bharti's suppressed feelings. I think it's about time that Bharti embraced her feelings because there is no doubt now that Bharti has her own identity, contrary to what Bhaksar thinks (if that makes sense!!) And Bharti's feelings go beyond friendship. I think Armaan deserves Bharti because he has earned her trust and treats her well. Any man that treats a woman honourably is worthy of her love...
Sorry to ramble slightly. I've been away from the forum for quite some time!! I would like to know your views 😃
