u c.. first fill the 3 litre one with milk and pour it to 5l can..
nw.. 3l can is empty and 5l has 3l of milk

then.. u again fill 3 litre one with milk and pour it to 5L can
nw.. 3L can has 1L milk whereas the 5L is full.

Empty the 5L can and pour that 1L milk in it from 3L can
nw... 3L can is empty while 5L has 1L of milk.

fill up the 3L can with milk
and pour it on 5L can..
now.. 5L can has total 4L of milk 😆😆 see.. it ws simple! 😉
