Jalal:Ruqaiya..?
As the girl slowly turned towards him,jalal got the very shock of his life.The girl,unlike what he had expected wasn't ruqaiya,much to his disappointment.
Girl:Yes? No ,my name isn't ruqaiya.
Jalal:I'm sorry miss.I mistook you to be somebody else.Really sorry.
Girl:Its ok.
With his hope lost and face fallen,a dejected jalal walked slowly back and resumed his search desperately.
Soon another hour flew away and yet again bringing no news of her.Finally,too tired of it all,he sat down on a bench in a corner ,all by himself and pondered as to what could be his next step.Soon another old gentleman came and sat beside him.He was murmuring to himself but they were sitting so close to each other that Jalal could hear clearly what he said.
Old man:Such noble girls are so hard to find nowadays.Today ,in the 21st century people have become so self obsessed that they have forgotten their very values.But she,was certainly not like that whole lot of youngsters.She was so helpful and considerate towards an old man like me.What was the name she said? Ya i think her name was Ruqaiya.
You could imagine jalal's excitement when he heard the name 'Ruqaiya'.But then their was a fear that once again possessed him.
Jalal's pov:Ruqaiya!!! I know it must be my Ruqaiya only that this gentleman is talking about.But then,suppose this turns out to be some other Ruqaiya? There may be atleast a thousand Ruqaiyas in ajmer.It can be any Ruqaiya among all of them...But then,what is the harm in asking him?
Jalal:Excuse me sir.Pardon my interruption, but may i know what and about whom you are talking about?
Old man:Son,she was such a compassionate and humble girl.My son lives far away in the US and possessed by the desire to meet him,i came here to book the ticket for the next flight.But you know,my hair have grown white and being an old man,i hardly could understand all the formalities i had to complete and all the documents that were needed.But this girl assisted me as much as she could.She was so kind and caring.
Jalal:And sir,what was the name you said?
Old man:Her name was Ruqaiya.
Jalal(taking out his phone and showing him Ruqaiya's pic):By any chance,is this the same Ruqaiya?
Old man:Oh ya! It is very much the same girl! Do you know her?
Jalal:Yes i do kind sir! And by any chance,do you know where she is going or on which flight?
Old man:I think she is leaving for Dubai.I saw her passport and ticket.But haven't the nick of the idea about the flight.
Jalal:Thank you so much sir.You cannot even imagine how much you have helped me today! I will be forever indebted to you.And now i must take your leave,i am in a real hurry.
Old man:You are most welcome son,but can i know why you are so grateful...Son!
But by then,jalal had far left to be at Ruqaiya's side before it was too late.
He straight away walked to the help desk to collect information about the flight.
Jalal:Excuse me ma'am! May i please know which are the flights that are leaving for UAE today?
Woman:Just a minute sir...Yes there is only one flight for today and that would take off within a few minutes.Less than 10 minutes to be exact.
Jalal:What? So check-ins are done?
Woman:Yes they are sir!
Jalal:My god! Can anything be done now ma'am? I mean to stop the take off or to get someone who has already checked in away?
Woman:I am sorry sir,i can't help you with this.You need to talk to the manager for that.
Jalal:Ok,i will go right away.Thank you !
