Well guys your Question and Answer to it is right..I to read that this is what happened in books.😉But as per my knowledge one more imp point that US did not let Maharana Pratap to stay back and fight is because Pratap was one of Mewar's Powerful Army chief.Even when US is king his ministers nd Army personals see Maharana Pratap as their future king.So the nobles wanted their future king to be safe. Reason for this is at that time when Chittor was attacked. Akbar had a huge army and the walls of chittor were old nd weak. So fighting their will be a loss of military might of Mewar's Army. US as per the advice of his Chief Ministers decided to fight another day. I got this info from a Historian.⭐️
